MEET JEN (BAUMGARDNER) Barnes

I offer individual counseling in the Loring Park area of Minneapolis for women of all ages. I use a holistic approach to honor the whole person, encouraging clients to connect with their whole-ness through their healing process at a pace that works for them.
Using a variety of treatment approaches, I work with clients dealing with stress, anxiety, and trauma-related symptoms. I have a passion for working with women. While some clients are working on delving further into their past as related to their current patterns others are working on shifting beliefs and behaviors to create space for continued growth.
Some of the approaches I incorporate include EMDR, Internal Family Systems (parts work), Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga, the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), biofeedback (HeartMath) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, psycho-dynamic therapy, yoga-psychotherapy, and Acudetox (NADA five-point ear acupuncture) to assist my clients in better understanding their thoughts, values, beliefs as well as healing trauma that has been held in the body.
